A collision led to Sousel EC getting a freekick after 35 minutes play. Flavinho de Brito hit a great ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Flavinho de Brito in the 77th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abelardo Toscano prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nilmar Leme took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dráusio Linhares, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Sousel EC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
