Jacinto Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Victor do Nascimento, who was totally free with the ball in the 29th minute. Jacinto Rodrigues took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Durval Bezerra, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. KANGAL FC's Diego Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Guto Leão in the 33rd minute of play. Diego Queirós made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilian Lucas in the 35th minute. In the 35th minute, Clemente Carioca hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Guto Leão in the 39th minute of play forced KANGAL FC's goalkeeper Diego Queirós to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Wilian Lucas could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 41st minute of the match, but Diego Queirós made a huge save. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Wilian Lucas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Carioca FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilian Lucas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Diego Queirós breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in KANGAL FC's zone, Wilian Lucas stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Diego Queirós came out of the goal and Wilian Lucas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, Carioca FC's Erik Palmeira got a free kick in the 47th minute. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Guto Leão to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Carioca FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Victor do Nascimento fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Diego Queirós took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Guto Leão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The corner led Carioca FC's Marco Queirós to fire away a dangerous shot which Diego Queirós despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Victor do Nascimento took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Jacinto Rodrigues. Jacinto Rodrigues dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Guto Leão in the 66th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Diego Queirós prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Durval Bezerra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Jacinto Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Carioca FC's Jacinto Rodrigues got control of the ball when Victor do Nascimento tried to sneak it across the goal line. Guto Leão recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 74th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Durval Bezerra struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Jacinto Rodrigues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for KANGAL FC. The audience was convinced that Durval Bezerra's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jacinto Rodrigues was relentless in the 81st minute of the game. Guto Leão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. KANGAL FC's Diego Queirós played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Chicão Veiga in the 95th minute of play. The KANGAL FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing KANGAL FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
