In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Fortaleza's goalkeeper Giuseppe Brasil, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Fortaleza were delighted with the way they had won the match. They had held their defensive line well and made the most of their chances, to claim a victory over São Paulo Futebol Clube's much stronger midfield.
