Spectators: 6672 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1672, VIP seats: 0) Fernandão Jacinto started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. After 5 minutes of play, Fortaleza's Pedrinho Fernandes made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Walmir Ortiz was left in no man's land by his defense there! 13 minutes into the match, Fernandão Jacinto dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Walmir Ortiz, 2-0. Daniel Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giuseppe Brasil having to interfere. After having played for 23 minutes, Fernandão Jacinto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Fortaleza's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fernandão Jacinto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giuseppe Brasil made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mané do Valle in the 25th minute of play. Mané do Valle recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The referee gave Viadutos FC a penalty, 35 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Daniel Luz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Fortaleza's Giuseppe Brasil. 2-2. Pedrinho Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmir Ortiz having to interfere.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mané do Valle to strike the kick off in the second half. Giuseppe Brasil made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mané do Valle in the 52nd minute. Pedrinho Fernandes struck a weak shot in the 60th minute. Walmir Ortiz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Fortaleza. Fortaleza's Pedrinho Fernandes got a good chance for a goal in the 67th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match had gone on for 72 minutes, Waldir Hoffmann took a quick shot and it went in 2-5 without a chance for Giuseppe Brasil to make any attempt to save it. When Alfredinho Miranda fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Viadutos FC's protests and gave Alfredinho Miranda a yellow card for diving instead. If Pedrinho Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Fortaleza's zone, Daniel Luz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Giuseppe Brasil came out of the goal and Daniel Luz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 82nd match minute, Fortaleza was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedrinho Fernandes to maneuver through the defense. 83 minutes into the match, Viadutos FC's Edmílson Vargas sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giuseppe Brasil narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match clock showed 85 minutes, the score became 2-6 when Mané do Valle sped through Fortaleza's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Giuseppe Brasil. Pedrinho Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walmir Ortiz having to interfere. A hard shot by Anísio Linhares from long distance, 94 minutes into the match, got Giuseppe Brasil's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. When Mané do Valle, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 97 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Giuseppe Brasil was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. Viadutos FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
