Cléberson Cerezo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilmar Palmeira having to interfere. Gilmar Palmeira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bernardinho Maranhense in the 11th minute of play. The supporters of Triumfo SS booed when S.E. Paixão Verde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ademar Urbano didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gilmar Palmeira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bernardinho Maranhense, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The supporters of Triumfo SS booed when S.E. Paixão Verde was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 13 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mateus Peixoto didn't get a good kick on the ball. 14 minutes into the match, Bernardinho Maranhense notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of S.E. Paixão Verde's Gilmar Palmeira. Gilmar Palmeira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Urbano got free with João Francisco Chaves in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Amílton Gerber fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilmar Palmeira having to interfere. A collision led to Triumfo SS getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Cléberson Cerezo hit a great ball. Bernardinho Maranhense sent away a hard shot on goal in the 27th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amílton Gerber in the 29th minute of play forced S.E. Paixão Verde's goalkeeper Gilmar Palmeira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bernardinho Maranhense recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 30th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, S.E. Paixão Verde's Mateus Peixoto got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd minute Amílton Gerber shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilmar Palmeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bernardinho Maranhense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Gilmar Palmeira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 47th minute, Amílton Gerber left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Triumfo SS fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. The S.E. Paixão Verde players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Triumfo SS were winning 1-3.

The wind increased when Amílton Gerber made the kick off in the second half. If Amílton Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the match, Bernardinho Maranhense had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Gilmar Palmeira. S.E. Paixão Verde's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Bernardinho Maranhense was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 1-4. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 91 minutes in the game, Bernardinho Maranhense fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Gilmar Palmeira having to interfere. Emanuel Urbano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 95th minute. João Francisco Chaves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Triumfo SS's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
