Spectators: 7198 (Terracing: 5400, Seating: 1655, VIP seats: 143) Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cléberson Silveira in the 4th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Kaspar Aunaste prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Diabo Verde F.C's Kaspar Aunaste played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Paulo de Souza in the 5th minute of play. Cléberson Silveira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaspar Aunaste having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luiz Paulo de Souza in the 12th minute of play forced Diabo Verde F.C's goalkeeper Kaspar Aunaste to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Kaspar Aunaste showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luiz Paulo de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 16th minute. Luiz Paulo de Souza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kaspar Aunaste having to interfere. 24 minutes into the match, Diabo Verde F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Luiz Paulo de Souza came free, but Kaspar Aunaste reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 29 played minutes Diabo Verde F.C got a freekick which was hit by Bonifacio Cordarin. 30 minutes into the game, one of Diabo Verde F.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. After having played for 34 minutes, Cléberson Silveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Cotton Futebol Clube's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cléberson Silveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Charles Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 35th minute of the match. When Renato Diniz came up free with the goalie in the 43rd minute, the Diabo Verde F.C fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Renato Diniz couldn't finish the play. 47 minutes into the match, Cotton Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Renato Diniz came free, but Adhemar Paiva reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

A collision led to Cotton Futebol Clube getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Sérgio Azevedo hit a great ball. Adhemar Paiva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Charles Castro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Régis Amorim during the 60th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 60 minutes into the game, one of Diabo Verde F.C:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Diabo Verde F.C's Kaspar Aunaste proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 64th minute of the match, managed to save Diabo Verde F.C from getting a goal against them. Luiz Paulo de Souza sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 74 minutes into the game, Cléberson Silveira recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Kaspar Aunaste. Cléberson Silveira showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Renato Diniz in the 82nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Adhemar Paiva saved Cotton Futebol Clube from getting behind. Renato Diniz struck a weak shot in the 85th minute. Adhemar Paiva didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Diabo Verde F.C. The Cotton Futebol Clube players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
