Goal Kick. Afonso Trancoso stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arlindo Siqueira's shot from short distance in the 12th minute. In the 21st minute, Arlindo Siqueira got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vila Palmeiras FC's Afonso Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cido Tróia in the 23rd minute of play. In the 24th of the match, Júnior Passos tried to place the ball in the upper right corner, but João Linhares got in the way and made a wonderful save. When Arlindo Siqueira came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Águia Azul Futebol Clube fans jumped to their feet. When the match had gone on for 34 minutes, Júnior Passos took a quick shot and it went in 1-1 without a chance for João Linhares to make any attempt to save it. Arlindo Siqueira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 40th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Júnior Passos was the one to do the kick off. 53 minutes had been played when some careless play by Águia Azul Futebol Clube's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Frederico Cardoso was slow to take the kick. During this time Vila Palmeiras FC's players had a chance to rest. The corner ended in Frederico Cardoso almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Águia Azul Futebol Clube's João Linhares did a great save. In the 54th match minute, Águia Azul Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rodrigo Sergipano to maneuver through the defense. Afonso Trancoso showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arlindo Siqueira in the 60th minute of the match. Afonso Trancoso made a fantastic save in the 63rd minute, when Cido Tróia sent off a good shot on target. If Júnior Passos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Águia Azul Futebol Clube booed when Vila Palmeiras FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Elivélton Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 81st minute, William Bittencourt hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Vila Palmeiras FC's zone, Arlindo Siqueira stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Afonso Trancoso came out of the goal and Arlindo Siqueira tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Arlindo Siqueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. João Carlos Mattos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. João Linhares took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Júnior Passos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Vila Palmeiras FC's Afonso Trancoso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arlindo Siqueira in the 92nd minute of play. Águia Azul Futebol Clube were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
