Valdemar Cearense fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Tavares having to interfere. Josué Tavares showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gugu Melo in the 13th minute of the match. A hard shot 15 in the game by Valdemar Cearense from a close distance when the talented Josué Tavares managed to make a qualified save. Ondina FC's players were relieved. After 17 played minutes Ondina FC got a freekick which was hit by Mateus Arantes. After 21 played minutes Ondina FC got a freekick which was hit by Dida Goiano. 27 minutes into the match, Ondina FC's goal looked a bit too open when Gugu Melo came free, but Josué Tavares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 29 minutes, Mateus Arantes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ondina FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mateus Arantes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 36th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ondina FC's goalkeeper Josué Tavares, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Valdemar Cearense received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Josué Tavares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Gugu Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Gugu Melo to strike the kick off in the second half. Josué Tavares made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-0. If Gugu Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Tocantinea EC's Sidney Toledo tried to score from far away in the 91st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. There was no doubt that Tocantinea EC were the better team. Tocantinea EC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
