The supporters of Demônios de Serrana booed when Barranquinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 15 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luiz Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Barranquinho's zone, Chiquinho Monteiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júnior Brasil came out of the goal and Chiquinho Monteiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Barranquinho's Júnior Brasil proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Barranquinho from getting a goal against them. Demônios de Serrana's Chiquinho Monteiro got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 20 minutes into the match, Barranquinho's goal looked a bit too open when Adelino Simão came free, but Júnior Brasil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The supporters of Demônios de Serrana booed when Barranquinho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 30 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Luiz Furtado didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 33 minutes Barranquinho's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Fabrício Ferreira who took care of the corner kick. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Chiquinho Monteiro managed to get in a good position for a shot. Demônios de Serrana's supporters rose to their feet, but Chiquinho Monteiro was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júnior Brasil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Barranquinho booed when Demônios de Serrana was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Adelino Simão didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute, Adelino Simão fired away an extremely well hit free kick, but unfortunately the ball went just outside to the right hand side of Júnior Brasil. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Adelino Simão to make the kick off. Renan Cabral made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remo Loureiro in the 52nd minute of play. A collision led to Demônios de Serrana getting a freekick after 54 minutes play. Daniel Guedes hit a great ball. Adelino Simão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júnior Brasil having to interfere. If Adelino Simão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Chiquinho Monteiro in the 63rd minute of play forced Barranquinho's goalkeeper Júnior Brasil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luizão Vaz charged in rather forcefully in the 68th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Luizão Vaz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A hard shot 70 in the game by Alfredinho de Mendonça from a close distance when the talented Renan Cabral managed to make a qualified save. Demônios de Serrana's players were relieved. Adelino Simão struck a weak shot in the 78th minute. Júnior Brasil didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Demônios de Serrana. 80 minutes into the match, Barranquinho's goal looked a bit too open when Chiquinho Monteiro came free, but Júnior Brasil reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adelino Simão received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Júnior Brasil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chiquinho Monteiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júnior Brasil having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Adelino Simão in the 92nd minute of play forced Barranquinho's goalkeeper Júnior Brasil to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.
