Douglas Vieira was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 13th minute, Alex Barral managed to get in a good position for a shot. Phoênnyx's supporters rose to their feet, but Alex Barral was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglas Vieira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 14thth minute of the game Geraldo Andrade who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lion Azul FC's Douglas Vieira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Alex Barral had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gustavo Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 18th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Geraldo Andrade struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Douglas Vieira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Phoênnyx. Phoênnyx's Claudinho Gerber got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Osvaldo Tróia charged in rather forcefully in the 25th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Osvaldo Tróia the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Lion Azul FC getting a freekick after 25 minutes play. Osvaldo Tróia hit a great ball. After 28 minutes, Caio Severo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lion Azul FC and the Phoênnyx players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 28 played minutes Lion Azul FC got a freekick which was hit by Caio Severo. Phoênnyx's Arthur Corrêa played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Juan Dracena in the 30th minute of play. In the 31stth minute of the game Claudinho Gerber who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Lion Azul FC's Douglas Vieira was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. When the match had gone on for 32 minutes, Geraldo Andrade put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Douglas Vieira. Geraldo Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gustavo Salles took the ball and in the 37 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Douglas Vieira. Douglas Vieira dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-3. Geraldo Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Douglas Vieira having to interfere. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Claudinho Gerber stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Claudinho Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Douglas Vieira made an important save on a dangerous shot by Geraldo Andrade in the 56th minute. Gustavo Salles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 61 minutes, Alex Barral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Phoênnyx and the Lion Azul FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. 64 minutes into the match, Phoênnyx's goal looked a bit too open when Erik Corrêa came free, but Arthur Corrêa reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 67th minute, Alex Barral reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Douglas Vieira. The goal made the score 0-4. If Claudinho Gerber had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Erik Corrêa in the 75th minute of play forced Phoênnyx's goalkeeper Arthur Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Alex Barral hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. Arthur Corrêa took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Erik Corrêa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 80 minutes into the game, Osvaldo Tróia cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Arthur Corrêa was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Douglas Vieira didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Geraldo Andrade went, in the 88th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-6 was the resulting score. Douglas Vieira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Geraldo Andrade in the 91st minute of the match. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gustavo Salles got free with Douglas Vieira in the 93rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Phoênnyx's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
