The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After 5 minutes, Walmir Barreto mouthed his way into the referee's book. Tomás Pereira was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thiago Matorin received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Elano Pimenta came out and tried to block the shot, but Thiago Matorin slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 15th minute. Thiago Matorin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 18th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Talismã FC's Walmir Barreto got a free kick in the 19th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Thiago Matorin in the 64th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Elano Pimenta prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 73rd minute Jacinto Brodel shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tomás Pereira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 76th minute, Jacinto Brodel got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 77 minutes into the match, Thiago Matorin notched a goal, 3-2, to the right of Talismã FC's Elano Pimenta. Elano Pimenta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it.
