Pedro Luiz Furtado could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but Juninho Maranhense made a huge save. Juninho Maranhense made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Remo Loureiro in the 42nd minute of play. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Remo Loureiro was the one to do the kick off. Juninho Maranhense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Remo Loureiro in the 64th minute of the match. After 65 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Barranquinho! Jano da Silva shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ulysses Marques during the 67th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Juiz de Fora Team were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
