In the 14th minute the ball was on its way in behind Noturno FC's goalkeeper Sidnei Hoffmann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Geraldo Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Natã Berger had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th minute Adalberto Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Arthur Corrêa saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luizinho Fontes in the 36th minute of play forced Phoênnyx's goalkeeper Arthur Corrêa to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Geraldo Andrade fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidnei Hoffmann having to interfere. After having played for 39 minutes, Geraldo Andrade managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Phoênnyx's supporters crossed their fingers, but Geraldo Andrade was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sidnei Hoffmann came out of the goal in the 42nd minute to try and stop a shot by Phoênnyx's Alex Barral. But to his dismay, Alex Barral quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Luizinho Fontes hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

After a defensive mix-up in Noturno FC's zone, Gustavo Salles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sidnei Hoffmann came out of the goal and Gustavo Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Alex Barral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sidnei Hoffmann having to interfere. In the 61stth minute of the game Gustavo Salles who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Noturno FC's Sidnei Hoffmann was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Alex Barral sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ciro Terra charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Ciro Terra the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Noturno FC getting a freekick after 83 minutes play.
