With an all-out effort, Odaze's Ronaldão Toledo threw himself towards the right post 21 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Gilvan Guerra, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. With a little luck, RB SAO BRAGA's Ronaldão Toledo got control of the ball when Ademar Gaspar tried to sneak it across the goal line. 25 minutes into the match, RB SAO BRAGA's goalkeeper Ronaldão Toledo had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ademar Gaspar. In the 26th minute of the match, Gilvan Guerra tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Ronaldão Toledo saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Ronaldão Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Tepedino in the 29th minute of play. 36 minutes into the game, Ademar Gaspar recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ronaldão Toledo. Ademar Gaspar showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. Ademar Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldão Toledo having to interfere. Ronaldão Toledo made an important save on a dangerous shot by Chicão Maia in the 44th minute.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gilvan Guerra to make the kick off. Ademar Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 53rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronaldão Toledo having to interfere. Ronaldão Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cláudio Tepedino, who was totally free with the ball in the 58th minute. Ronaldão Toledo came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Odaze's Ademar Gaspar. But to his dismay, Ademar Gaspar quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Ademar Gaspar received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Ronaldão Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ronaldão Toledo showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio Tepedino in the 77th minute of the match. A collision led to RB SAO BRAGA getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Duarte Costa hit a great ball. Gilvan Guerra took the ball and in the 79 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ronaldão Toledo. Ronaldão Toledo dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. RB SAO BRAGA's attentive Duarte Costa managed to snatch the ball when Jano Mota made a throw-in in the 82nd minute of the game. In the 88thth minute of the game Ademar Gaspar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but RB SAO BRAGA's Ronaldão Toledo was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Ronaldão Toledo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gilvan Guerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. A collision led to RB SAO BRAGA getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Eusébio Galvão hit a great ball. Odaze's Gilvan Guerra got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, RB SAO BRAGA's Pedro Augusto Diniz got a free kick in the 93rd minute. When Gilvan Guerra fell near the penalty area in the 96th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Odaze's protests and gave Gilvan Guerra a yellow card for diving instead. Gilvan Guerra kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match.
