Yan Sampaio didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Abel da Fonseca went, in the 25th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. In the 29th minute the ball was on its way in behind Vila Nova Goiânia DCF's goalkeeper Yan Sampaio, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After 33 played minutes Salimen got a freekick which was hit by Carlos Fernando Romero. A hard shot by Patrick Senna from long distance, 34 minutes into the match, got David Xavier's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. David Xavier made a fantastic save in the 35th minute, when Cauan Falcão sent off a good shot on target. Cauan Falcão who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 37thth minute tested the skills of David Xavier when he managed to save the team from getting behind. After 44 played minutes Salimen got a freekick which was hit by Abel da Fonseca. Juninho Pimenta charged in rather forcefully in the 46th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Juninho Pimenta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 46th match minute, Salimen was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Juninho Pimenta to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 1-1 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Juninho Pimenta to make the kick off. Juninho Pimenta was extremely unlucky when he, in the 97th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Vila Nova Goiânia DCF's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
