Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 38 played minutes Miranga AD got a freekick which was hit by João Paulo Paraibano. After 41 played minutes Miranga AD got a freekick which was hit by Abelardo Lima. If João Carlos Duarte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

In the 53rd minute João Carlos Duarte shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Waldemar Palmeira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. João Paulo Paraibano hit a great freekick 62 minutes into the match. Waldemar Palmeira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from João Carlos Duarte in the 74th minute of the match. Cesinha Fontes hit a great freekick 78 minutes into the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Miranga AD fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 81st minute. Penalty! 88 minutes into the match, Fernando Argoitz notched a goal, 2-1, to the right of Abico's Pedro Luiz Veloso. Pedro Luiz Veloso was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Abico's Pedro Luiz Veloso played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Argoitz in the 93rd minute of play. In the 94th minute, Leonardo Mesquita had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Abelardo Lima charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Abelardo Lima the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Miranga AD's Abelardo Lima got a free kick in the 95th minute. Miranga AD's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
