In the 7th minute there was a penalty for Galatassarrafo F. C. Gilson Lucas stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Maurício Rocha. 1-0. Egídio Abreu recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 20 minutes, Danilo Zonta mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Mostarda EC and the Galatassarrafo F. C players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Galatassarrafo F. C booed when Mostarda EC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 20 match minutes in a wonderful position. Danilo Zonta didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusébio Aguiar in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Maurício Rocha saved Mostarda EC from getting behind. Diamantino Sampaio received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Nilmar do Vale tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Diamantino Sampaio managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mostarda EC's supporters rose to their feet, but Diamantino Sampaio was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nilmar do Vale breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Galatassarrafo F. C's Nilmar do Vale played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Diamantino Sampaio in the 31st minute of play. After having played for 36 minutes, Danilo Zonta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mostarda EC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Danilo Zonta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpected shot in the 41st minute by Egídio Abreu got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Maurício Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Egídio Abreu in the 44th minute of the match. Af the end of the first half the score was 3-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Diamantino Sampaio made the kick off in the second half. Danilo Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jailson Damião charged in rather forcefully in the 58th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jailson Damião the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 58th match minute, Galatassarrafo F. C was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jailson Damião to maneuver through the defense. Maurício Rocha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Célio de Souza in the 73rd minute of the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 74th minute of the game. One of Mostarda EC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Galatassarrafo F. C:s goal. Danilo Zonta in the 85thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Nilmar do Vale, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. In the last second Nilmar do Vale throw himself and got hold of the ball when Diamantino Sampaio in the 89thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. In the 93rd minute, Eusébio Aguiar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Maurício Rocha was frozen by the shot and now it was 5-0. If Eusébio Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 97th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Galatassarrafo F. C fans cheered their team off the field, for while Mostarda EC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
