When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cleiton Rosado made a kick off. Amílton Rossi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Maurício Rocha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 53rd minute Benedito Reis suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Percival Gomes during the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Mostarda EC's zone, Amílton Rossi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Maurício Rocha came out of the goal and Amílton Rossi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 58 minutes into the game, Cleiton Rosado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sericita FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mostarda EC the free kick. In the 63rd minute, Diamantino Sampaio hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mostarda EC's Maurício Rocha proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Mostarda EC from getting a goal against them. The crowd rose to their feet as Amílton Rossi kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Maurício Rocha. That made the score 0-3 in the 82 minute of play. After 90 played minutes Sericita FC got a freekick which was hit by Acácio Gaspar. Sericita FC's Bernardo de Barros got a good chance for a goal in the 91st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the Mostarda EC defense, Cleiton Rosado kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Maurício Rocha. The Mostarda EC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Maurício Rocha should have stopped the shot. When the match was over Sericita FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Mostarda EC throughout the match.
