When Danilo Britto fell near the penalty area in the 26th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Miranga AD's protests and gave Danilo Britto a yellow card for diving instead. In the 26th match minute, Miranga AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Danilo Britto to maneuver through the defense. In the 27th minute of the match Jonas do Valle shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Waldemar Palmeira showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. If Serafim Veloso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience thought a goal was coming when Délio Correia got free with Waldemar Palmeira in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jeferson Fernandez took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Fernando Argoitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abençoados Futebol Clube's Jeferson Fernandez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Argoitz in the 39th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Délio Correia during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 40 played minutes Abençoados Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Délio Correia. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Waldemar Palmeira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Christian Carioca, who was totally free with the ball in the 89th minute. Abençoados Futebol Clube succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Miranga AD had controlled the match.
