Flávio Eger made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-1. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Romeu de Souza stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Flávio Eger didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from João Carlos Duarte went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 3-1 was the resulting score. Gissaras's Flávio Eger played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Raí Urbano in the 65th minute of play. Edgar Damião could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 68th minute of the match, but Pedro Luiz Veloso made a huge save. After a rather tough play, Abico's Geovani Valladares got a free kick in the 69th minute. Oscar Monteiro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee gave Abico a penalty, 78 minutes into the game. A hard shot 98 in the game by Oscar Monteiro from a close distance when the talented Pedro Luiz Veloso managed to make a qualified save. Abico's players were relieved. Pedro Luiz Veloso came out of the goal in the 100th minute to try and stop a shot by Gissaras's Romeu de Souza. But to his dismay, Romeu de Souza quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-3. When the referee blew the final whistle, Abico could leave the field as winners, despite Gissaras having more of the ball for most of the match.
