In the 3rd minute, Nildo de Toledo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 4 minutes, Giuseppe Mineiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the PICA-PAU AMORA FC and the Futideia FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 5 played minutes PICA-PAU AMORA FC got a freekick which was hit by Giuseppe Mineiro. Gilson Silva made a fantastic save in the 8th minute, when Claudinei de Moraes sent off a good shot on target. Tiago Medeiros's late challenge caught a Futideia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tiago Medeiros helped the player get up and apologised. After 9 played minutes PICA-PAU AMORA FC got a freekick which was hit by Tiago Medeiros. The crowd rose to their feet as Eduardo Falcão kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Gilson Silva. That made the score 1-0 in the 11 minute of play. Gilson Silva made an important save on a dangerous shot by Delfim Pires in the 20th minute. In the 24th minute Egídio Linhares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilson Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. PICA-PAU AMORA FC's Giuseppe Mineiro got his second yellow card of the match in the 25th minute. The referee ordered Giuseppe Mineiro off the ground. In the 26th minute, Giuseppe Mineiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 27th match minute, Futideia FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Claudinei de Moraes to maneuver through the defense. Gilson Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from José Pedro Maia in the 32nd minute of the match. PICA-PAU AMORA FC's Gilson Silva proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 36th minute of the match, managed to save PICA-PAU AMORA FC from getting a goal against them. Nildo de Toledo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 42nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eduardo Falcão sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

Egídio Linhares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 52nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilson Silva having to interfere. PICA-PAU AMORA FC's Gilson Silva played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by José Pedro Maia in the 53rd minute of play. Nildo de Toledo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Gilson Silva tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 58th minute, Eduardo Falcão left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Futideia FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Futideia FC's Alfredinho Dracena proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 74th minute of the match, managed to save Futideia FC from getting a goal against them. Oswaldo Veiga's late challenge caught a Futideia FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Gilson Silva showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lars Nordstedt, who was totally free with the ball in the 91st minute. After 92 played minutes PICA-PAU AMORA FC got a freekick which was hit by Geraldo Mello. In the 96th minute Eduardo Falcão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gilson Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Futideia FC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
