The audience thought a goal was coming when Valdomiro Mesquita got free with Giovani do Nascimento in the 13th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Valdomiro Mesquita came free with the goalkeeper in the 16th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Giovani do Nascimento could save by the left post. 20 minutes in the game, Valdomiro Mesquita fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Giovani do Nascimento having to interfere. If Paulo Renato Recife had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 38 played minutes BrotherHood United got a freekick which was hit by Renatinho de Brito. In the 39th minute of the match Márcio Moraes shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sandro Hoffmann showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 42 minutes into the game, Renatinho de Brito was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. BrotherHood United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SANTOS the free kick. In the 42nd minute, Renatinho de Brito hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Paulo Renato Recife stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute, Valdomiro Mesquita made a precise shot to the right of Giovani do Nascimento. SANTOS's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Valdomiro Mesquita recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Falcão Sergipano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Giovani do Nascimento having to interfere. If Valdomiro Mesquita had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 63rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Victor Zanette kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. Victor Zanette hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. BrotherHood United's Falcão Sergipano got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 2-0 became the score in the 77th minute when Falcão Sergipano elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. In the 84th minute the ball was on its way in behind BrotherHood United's goalkeeper Sandro Hoffmann, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Raphael Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Hoffmann having to interfere. SANTOS's Paulo Renato Recife got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Sandro Hoffmann made a fantastic save in the 95th minute, when Hortêncio Saraiva sent off a good shot on target. Paulo Renato Recife fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sandro Hoffmann having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the SANTOS players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for BrotherHood United.
