The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Anísio Bueno received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Renatinho Freitas got free with Gustavo Proença in the 8th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 10 minutes into the match, Millwall FC's goal looked a bit too open when Anísio Bueno came free, but Gustavo Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 12th minute of the game. One of Millwall FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Frecheiras FC:s goal. In the 14th minute there was a penalty for Frecheiras FC. Maurinho Lopes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gustavo Proença. 1-0. After having played for 17 minutes, Renatinho Freitas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frecheiras FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Renatinho Freitas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nestor de Lima made a great header on Millwall FC's corner, it was just that Frecheiras FC's Cido Cabral managed to reach the ball for a save. Daniel Zonta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cido Cabral having to interfere. Daniel Zonta sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Daniel Zonta might have been able to make a better finish in the 32nd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Cido Cabral. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

59 minutes into the match, Frecheiras FC's goal looked a bit too open when Hernani Capixaba came free, but Cido Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hernani Capixaba couldn't finish the play. Cido Cabral was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Marcel Vides fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cido Cabral having to interfere. Cido Cabral didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 84th minute, which inside left pole to 2-4. After having played for 88 minutes, Daniel Zonta managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Millwall FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Daniel Zonta was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Cido Cabral showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Hernani Capixaba in the 92nd minute of the match. 95 minutes into the match, Millwall FC's Daniel Zonta sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Cido Cabral narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Frecheiras FC fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Millwall FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
