After the first half São Paulo Futebol Clube were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Horácio Nascimento made the kick off in the second half. In the 54th match minute, Cheetara FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermínio Vaz to maneuver through the defense. Zé Pedro Travassos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gilvan Dracena having to interfere. Gilvan Dracena stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jaime Tavares's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Gilvan Dracena was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Jaime Tavares showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-2 in the 60 minute of play. João Adolfo Dracena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Horácio Nascimento in the 65th minute of play. 69 minutes into the game, William Coutinho was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. The penalty shot was made by Hermínio Vaz, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of São Paulo Futebol Clube's João Adolfo Dracena. 1-2. Jaime Tavares sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Luís Fernando Marques kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Manoel Maia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Zé Pedro Travassos recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
