A collision led to Cauacu getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Cesinha Matos hit a great ball. Tarcisio Fonseca made an important save on a dangerous shot by Erasmo Vasconcelos in the 18th minute. In the 20th minute, Erasmo Vasconcelos reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Tarcisio Fonseca. The goal made the score 1-0. After a rather tough play, Cauacu's Ciro Porto got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Erasmo Vasconcelos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Tarcisio Fonseca tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Erasmo Vasconcelos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tarcisio Fonseca having to interfere. The supporters of Unidos do Morro booed when Cauacu was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Cesinha Matos didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 29th minute, Nestor de Barros left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Unidos do Morro fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-0. Tarcisio Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Erasmo Vasconcelos in the 32nd minute of play. Erasmo Vasconcelos in the 34thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Tarcisio Fonseca, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. If Erasmo Vasconcelos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 38th minute, Jacinto Dantas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Lucas Luz came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by Cauacu's Josué Moreno. But to his dismay, Josué Moreno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. Erasmo Vasconcelos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ciro Porto made a kick off. Lucas Luz came out of the goal in the 55th minute to try and stop a shot by Cauacu's Josué Moreno. But to his dismay, Josué Moreno quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-2. After a rather tough play, Unidos do Morro's Gustavo Koehler got a free kick in the 59th minute. Lucas Luz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ciro Porto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ciro Porto in the 64th minute of play forced Unidos do Morro's goalkeeper Lucas Luz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some careless play in the Cauacu defense, Nestor de Barros kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Tarcisio Fonseca. The Cauacu fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Tarcisio Fonseca should have stopped the shot. Geovânio Souto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a little luck, Unidos do Morro's Lucas Luz got control of the ball when Josué Moreno tried to sneak it across the goal line. Unidos do Morro walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
