Claudinho Veiga might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Délio Vieira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Claudinho Veiga ran back to his position shaking his head. Felippe Souto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Délio Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 11 minutes into the match, SC Corinthians Paulista's goal looked a bit too open when Naldo Tavares came free, but Délio Vieira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Edgar Alagoano didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Corinthians Paulista. An unexpectedly hard shot by Naldo Tavares in the 83rd minute of play forced SC Corinthians Paulista's goalkeeper Délio Vieira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Délio Vieira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Naldo Tavares, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 87th minute Felippe Souto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Délio Vieira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Ismael Paiva had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. SC Corinthians Paulista's Danilo Corrêa shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 90th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Edgar Alagoano but with some difficulty. In the 94thth minute of the game Ismael Paiva who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Guaxima's Edgar Alagoano was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball.
