Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Alan Toscano got the match started through his kick off. Cristiano Magalhães might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dinei Neves. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristiano Magalhães ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Coelho in the 5th minute of play forced Ruilandia's goalkeeper Dinei Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 8th minute, Cristiano Magalhães managed to get in a good position for a shot. SELK FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristiano Magalhães was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dinei Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 12thth minute of the game Cristiano Magalhães who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Ruilandia's Dinei Neves was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rubens Medeiros in the 18th minute of play forced Ruilandia's goalkeeper Dinei Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 21 minutes into the match, SELK FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alan Toscano came free, but Valdemar Nascimento reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Valdemar Nascimento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alan Toscano in the 22nd minute of play. With a little luck, SELK FC's Valdemar Nascimento got control of the ball when Roger Maciel tried to sneak it across the goal line. Rubens Medeiros received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Dinei Neves tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, Kléberson Queirós notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Ruilandia's Dinei Neves. Dinei Neves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Rubens Medeiros recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 31st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Patrick Trigo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Ruilandia's Zé Paulo Amaral got a free kick in the 37th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 39th minute, Kléberson Queirós managed to get in a good position for a shot. SELK FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Kléberson Queirós was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dinei Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of SELK FC booed when Ruilandia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Horácio Baiano didn't get a good kick on the ball. SELK FC's Rubens Medeiros got a good chance for a goal in the 44th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cristiano Magalhães made a kick off. Valdemar Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alan Toscano in the 55th minute of the match. The supporters of Ruilandia booed when SELK FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rubens Medeiros didn't get a good kick on the ball. A hard shot 59 in the game by Cristiano Magalhães from a close distance when the talented Dinei Neves managed to make a qualified save. Ruilandia's players were relieved. Dinei Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cristiano Magalhães, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ricardo de Queiroz hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. If Cristiano Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 minutes of play, SELK FC's Kléberson Queirós made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Dinei Neves was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 82nd minute, Kléberson Queirós ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Dinei Neves was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3. Rubens Medeiros's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dinei Neves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 86th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Cristiano Magalhães managed to get in a good position for a shot. SELK FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Cristiano Magalhães was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dinei Neves breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 92nd minute, Rubens Medeiros got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When SELK FC's Cristiano Magalhães in the 94th minute got a chance for a shot 94th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Ruilandia's goalie prevented a goal. 95 minutes into the game, Horácio Baiano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ruilandia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SELK FC the free kick. In the 95th minute, Horácio Baiano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field.
