Marco de Amorim recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Antônio Linhares struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Duda Passos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ratz FC. In the 26th minute, Rony Aparecido hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 29th minute, Ezequiel Pinho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Duda Passos took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Horácio Rosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Canoeira's Duda Passos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Antônio Linhares in the 43rd minute of play. In the 44th minute, Ezequiel Pinho reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Daniel Sergipano. The goal made the score 1-0. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ezequiel Pinho to make the kick off. Ratz FC's Antônio Linhares got a good chance for a goal in the 51st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Daniel Sergipano showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rodrigo Mineiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. After 54 minutes, Rui Cunha mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Canoeira and the Ratz FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 54 played minutes Canoeira got a freekick which was hit by Rui Cunha. In the 92nd minute Rodrigo Mineiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Daniel Sergipano saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Daniel Sergipano made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodrigo Mineiro in the 94th minute of play. Rodrigo Mineiro scored 2-1 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Daniel Sergipano, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.
