Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Mateus Gerber made the kick off which started today's match. Clube do Careca Futebol were furious when Eriberto do Nascimento was red carded, 8 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 8th match minute, Clube do Careca Futebol was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eriberto do Nascimento to maneuver through the defense. Ulysses Saraiva sent away a hard shot on goal in the 9th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Clube do Careca Futebol's Abel Leme got a free kick in the 11th minute. If Arí Brito had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 13th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 16th minute Arí Brito shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernani Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Clube do Careca Futebol's Ernani Sarmento played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arí Brito in the 18th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eusébio Baiano in the 20th minute of play forced Clube do Careca Futebol's goalkeeper Ernani Sarmento to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ernani Sarmento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Baiano, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. In the 25th minute of the match Ulysses Saraiva shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ernani Sarmento showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Eusébio Baiano in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ernani Sarmento saved Clube do Careca Futebol from getting behind. The supporters of Catole booed when Clube do Careca Futebol was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Miguel Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ulysses Saraiva took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ernani Sarmento. Clube do Careca Futebol's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Catole's zone, Abel Leme stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mané de Andrade came out of the goal and Abel Leme tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Abel Leme came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Clube do Careca Futebol fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abel Leme couldn't finish the play. Ernani Sarmento made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arí Brito in the 44th minute of play. A collision led to Catole getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Eusébio Baiano hit a great ball. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Eusébio Baiano to strike the kick off in the second half. After 52 played minutes Eusébio Baiano rounded Clube do Careca Futebol's defense and shot a beautiful shot into goal via left pole - 0-1. In the 58th minute Eusébio Baiano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ernani Sarmento saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Arí Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arí Brito's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ernani Sarmento read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 81st minute of play. If Eusébio Baiano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Clube do Careca Futebol's Ernani Sarmento got control of the ball when Washington Falcão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abel Leme recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 95th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.
