Adriano Brodel, 8 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Catole's Mané de Andrade proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to save Catole from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, Catole's Gilson Pena got a free kick in the 14th minute. In the 15th minute Ulysses Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané de Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the last second Mané de Andrade throw himself and got hold of the ball when Ulysses Sergipano in the 18thth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. Cícero Antunes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mané de Andrade having to interfere. After having played for 21 minutes, Ulysses Sergipano managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Uno FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ulysses Sergipano was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mané de Andrade didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Uno FC. Mané de Andrade stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ulysses Sergipano's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. In the 47th minute Ulysses Sergipano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Mané de Andrade saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ulysses Sergipano made a kick off. Despite being the better team, Uno FC failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
