Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Felipe Antunes started the match with the kick off. Rubinho da Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 5th minute. Nando Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 7th minute Cafu Cardozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hudson Mangueira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 9 minutes into the match, Kaká de Andrade had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Nando Pena. Cariacica's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Kaká de Andrade was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 17th minute, Kaká de Andrade made a precise shot to the right of Nando Pena. Cariacica's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Rubinho da Rocha charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rubinho da Rocha the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After 20 played minutes Sá Viana FC got a freekick which was hit by Rubinho da Rocha. A collision led to Sá Viana FC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Rubinho da Rocha hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, Felipe Antunes notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Cariacica's Nando Pena. Nando Pena was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After having played for 42 minutes, Felipe Antunes managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sá Viana FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Felipe Antunes was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After the first half Sá Viana FC were leading 0-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Cafu Cardozo made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to Cariacica getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Cafu Cardozo hit a great ball. Sá Viana FC's Felipe Antunes was standing unmarked in front of the goal when he, in the 53rd play minute, got the ball and easily drilled it into the goal. Kaká de Andrade received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Nando Pena tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Sá Viana FC's Felipe Antunes in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Cariacica's goalie prevented a goal. Felipe Antunes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Nando Pena read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 83rd minute of play. In the 88th minute, Felipe Antunes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cafu Cardozo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hudson Mangueira having to interfere. The Cariacica manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Sá Viana FC to win.
