After 9 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Tradição Futebol Clube! Jamandua AD were awarded a corner in the 11th minute after Tradição Futebol Clube's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. José Vítor Mello took the corner. José Carlos Saldanha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Telmo Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 17 played minutes Tradição Futebol Clube got a freekick which was hit by Wesley das Neves. In the 29th match minute, Tradição Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jairo Cabral to maneuver through the defense. Telmo Leal came out of the goal in the 31st minute to try and stop a shot by Jamandua AD's José Carlos Saldanha. But to his dismay, José Carlos Saldanha quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-1. Gilmar Gaúcho fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Leal having to interfere. José Carlos Saldanha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Telmo Leal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when José Carlos Saldanha got free with Telmo Leal in the 48th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort.

The wind increased when Michel Domingues made the kick off in the second half. The crowd rose to their feet as Tradição Futebol Clube's Jairo Cabral slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Júlio Cearense. That made the score 1-2 after 55 minutes of play. If Zé de Barros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Júlio Cearense showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Michel Domingues in the 62nd minute of the match. In the 63rd match minute, Tradição Futebol Clube was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Michel Domingues to maneuver through the defense. Telmo Leal showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Carlos Saldanha, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. José Vítor Mello fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Telmo Leal having to interfere. Luizão Batista came free with the goalkeeper in the 70th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Júlio Cearense could save by the left post. Jamandua AD's Júlio Cearense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Michel Domingues in the 71st minute of play. José Vítor Mello got in the 74th a clear chance and fired away a hard shot against goal, but Telmo Leal handled the situation perfectly and made a save by the crossbar. Júlio Cearense showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Michel Domingues, who was totally free with the ball in the 78th minute. José Vítor Mello struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Telmo Leal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Jamandua AD. After 82 minutes, Jairo Cabral mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Tradição Futebol Clube and the Jamandua AD players grew even worse after the yellow card. Jairo Cabral hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. 89 minutes into the match, Tradição Futebol Clube's goal looked a bit too open when Gilmar Gaúcho came free, but Telmo Leal reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 89th minute, José Vítor Mello left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Jamandua AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. Tradição Futebol Clube succeeded in salvaging a draw, even though Jamandua AD had controlled the match.
