When Emerson Lago fell near the penalty area in the 7th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SDR F.C's protests and gave Emerson Lago a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Coxo booed when SDR F.C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Emerson Lago didn't get a good kick on the ball. 10 minutes into the game, Inácio Neves cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-0. Diego Cardoso was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Inácio Neves fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diego Cardoso having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in SDR F.C's zone, Alan Godoi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Geovani Moreno came out of the goal and Alan Godoi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gildo Peixoto in the 20th minute of play forced SDR F.C's goalkeeper Geovani Moreno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Alan Godoi in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geovani Moreno prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Geovani Moreno didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Pedro Chaves went, in the 27th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Gildo Peixoto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Geovani Moreno having to interfere. A collision led to SDR F.C getting a freekick after 34 minutes play. Zé Paulo Lago hit a great ball. After 37 played minutes SDR F.C got a freekick which was hit by Naldo Pires. Duda Bastos didn't quite understand what happened when in the 38 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. SDR F.C's Geovani Moreno played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Natã Mesquita in the 45th minute of play. In the 48th minute, Inácio Neves fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Diego Cardoso, passed just outside the right post. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Inácio Neves was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Alan Godoi cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-3. Geovani Moreno was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 55th match minute, Coxo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Baltazar Guedes to maneuver through the defense. Inácio Neves might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Diego Cardoso. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Inácio Neves ran back to his position shaking his head. A collision led to SDR F.C getting a freekick after 57 minutes play. Emerson Lago hit a great ball. Geovani Moreno took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gildo Peixoto, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Geovani Moreno was out of position in the 62 minute of play, and Pedro Chaves capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Pedro Chaves really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gildo Peixoto in the 65th minute of play forced SDR F.C's goalkeeper Geovani Moreno to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 68 minutes, Pedro Chaves made it 1-5 with a short kick to the right side. SDR F.C's Geovani Moreno tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. 73 minutes into the match, SDR F.C's goal looked a bit too open when Natã Mesquita came free, but Geovani Moreno reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alan Godoi received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Geovani Moreno came out and tried to block the shot, but Alan Godoi slotted it home off the left post making it 1-6 in the 88th minute. Through an outstanding action, after 94 minutes, Geovani Moreno successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Natã Mesquita received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Geovani Moreno came out and tried to block the shot, but Natã Mesquita slotted it home off the left post making it 1-7 in the 96th minute. Coxo played a much better game than SDR F.C and deserved their victory. The SDR F.C players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
