An unexpectedly hard shot by 毛冰泉 in the 10th minute of play forced São Petersburgo FC's goalkeeper Diedrik Nys to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that 毛冰泉's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Diedrik Nys was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. The supporters of Quintinos booed when São Petersburgo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toni Godinho didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, 毛冰泉 put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Diedrik Nys. Dino de Souza recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 26 minutes, Gwidon Kapelski made it 1-1 with a short kick to the right side. Quintinos's Ramiro Loureiro tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Diedrik Nys made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gilberto Ramalho in the 30th minute of play. Vítor Galvão charged in rather forcefully in the 32nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Vítor Galvão the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 32nd match minute, São Petersburgo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Galvão to maneuver through the defense. Ramiro Loureiro made an important save on a dangerous shot by Gwidon Kapelski in the 33rd minute. After a rather tough play, Quintinos's Umberto Sabóia got a free kick in the 34th minute. Ramiro Loureiro was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 毛冰泉 was the one to do the kick off. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Dino de Souza in the 53rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ramiro Loureiro saved Quintinos from getting behind. In the 61st minute, Dino de Souza made a precise shot to the right of Ramiro Loureiro. Quintinos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. If Kléber Mandrak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 65th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gwidon Kapelski succeeded in the game's 68th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 4-1. In the 72nd minute, Gilberto Ramalho had to be helped off the field due to a pulled leg muscle. Quintinos's Ramiro Loureiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamílton Galvão in the 78th minute of play. Ramiro Loureiro took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Hamílton Galvão, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Dino de Souza came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the São Petersburgo FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dino de Souza couldn't finish the play. In the 93rd match minute, Quintinos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Renan Novaes to maneuver through the defense. Ramiro Loureiro came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by São Petersburgo FC's Hamílton Galvão. But to his dismay, Hamílton Galvão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Quintinos players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for São Petersburgo FC.
