With a little luck, Comandahy FC's Pedro Luiz Vinhas got control of the ball when Dudu Medeiros tried to sneak it across the goal line. If Hortêncio Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Croa's goalie and right to Tiago de Alcântara. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Croa's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. Zé Pedro Proença came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Comandahy FC's Kléberson Salles. But to his dismay, Kléberson Salles quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Dudu Medeiros could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 28th minute of the match, but Pedro Luiz Vinhas made a huge save. Pedro Luiz Vinhas was a little too slow when Hortêncio Gomes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 30th minute. The score was now 1-1. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Basílio Correia in the 36th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Zé Pedro Proença prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 38 minutes into the match, Croa's goal looked a bit too open when Kléberson Salles came free, but Zé Pedro Proença reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Basílio Correia might have been able to make a better finish in the 40th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zé Pedro Proença. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Basílio Correia ran back to his position shaking his head. Comandahy FC's Pedro Luiz Vinhas proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Comandahy FC from getting a goal against them.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hortêncio Gomes to strike the kick off in the second half. Basílio Correia's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 53rdth minute, Zé Pedro Proença skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. If Dudu Medeiros had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kléberson Salles's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Zé Pedro Proença read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 61st minute of play. When Carlos Alberto Souto fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Comandahy FC's protests and gave Carlos Alberto Souto a yellow card for diving instead. 62 minutes into the game, one of Comandahy FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. The referee gave Croa a penalty, 64 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Denílson Barros, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Comandahy FC's Pedro Luiz Vinhas. 2-1. When Basílio Correia came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Comandahy FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Basílio Correia couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Croa's zone, Kléberson Salles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zé Pedro Proença came out of the goal and Kléberson Salles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Basílio Correia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 71st minute. Zé Pedro Proença tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Croa booed when Comandahy FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. Donato Vidal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kléberson Salles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. Zé Pedro Proença tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Basílio Correia in the 82ndth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Zé Pedro Proença, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. José Paulo de Medeiros kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. After 86 played minutes Comandahy FC got a freekick which was hit by Donato Vidal. Kléberson Salles recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 90th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Pedro Luiz Vinhas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hortêncio Gomes, who was totally free with the ball in the 92nd minute. Kléberson Salles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zé Pedro Proença having to interfere. For all the effort they put into the match, the Comandahy FC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Croa.
