In the 12th match minute, Ipitangueiros was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilmar Palmeira to maneuver through the defense. Luiz Zonta didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Nilton Jacinto went, in the 15th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-2 was the resulting score. Eriberto de Sousa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jarbas Quirino having to interfere. Pedro Luiz Rochas short, quick shot in the 26thth minute got Jarbas Quirino to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. After a rather tough play, Ipitangueiros's Eliseu Bastos got a free kick in the 30th minute. Luiz Zonta showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Luiz Guilherme Dantas in the 31st minute of the match. Luiz Zonta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lino Esteves in the 35th minute of play. Pedro Luiz Rocha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 39th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Eriberto de Sousa came up free with the goalie in the 40th minute, the Ipitangueiros fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eriberto de Sousa couldn't finish the play. Pedro Luiz Rocha received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 42nd minute. Jarbas Quirino tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 43rd minute, Pedro Luiz Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot. Ipitangueiros's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Luiz Rocha was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jarbas Quirino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eriberto de Sousa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Luiz Rocha was the one to do the kick off. Luiz Zonta was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Ediberto Quadros showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 0-4 in the 72 minute of play. Nilton Jacinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ediberto Sousa hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Jarbas Quirino took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eriberto de Sousa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 81 played minutes Japurá city got a freekick which was hit by Nilton Jacinto. Jarbas Quirino made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eriberto de Sousa in the 82nd minute of play. If Pedro Luiz Rocha had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lino Esteves recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 86th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Eriberto de Sousa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Jarbas Quirino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Pedro Luiz Rocha's shot from short distance in the 95th minute.
