Spectators: 6587 (Terracing: 5587, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Joel de Almeida started the match with the kick off. In the 4th minute Joel de Almeida shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Gerber saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Umberto Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 6th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Gerber having to interfere. Cláudio Gerber showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Víktor Damião in the 8th minute of the match. Joel de Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Gerber having to interfere. After 19 played minutes Acara got a freekick which was hit by Gerson Nunes. Awakening's Ciro Antunes shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 20th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Júlio de Toledo but with some difficulty. With a little luck, Acara's Júlio de Toledo got control of the ball when Váldson Loureiro tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 25th minute, Váldson Loureiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Júlio de Toledo was a little too slow when Claudinei de Lima got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 29th minute. The score was now 1-0. Joel de Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 33rd minute. Cláudio Gerber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The Acara fans' excitement grew in the 35th match minute when Acara's Umberto Falcão looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Umberto Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Gerber having to interfere. 43 minutes into the match, Awakening's Váldson Loureiro sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Júlio de Toledo narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Awakening's Cláudio Gerber played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Umberto Falcão in the 48th minute of play.

With a little luck, Awakening's Cláudio Gerber got control of the ball when Umberto Falcão tried to sneak it across the goal line. Váldson Loureiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 65th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Umberto Falcão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Gerber having to interfere. Joel de Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 73rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The supporters of Acara booed when Awakening was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dagoberto Queiroz didn't get a good kick on the ball. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Awakening's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Albertinho Dantas was slow to take the kick. During this time Acara's players had a chance to rest. Albertinho Dantas got in the 82nd minute the ball and tried a long shot which scored to the left of Cláudio Gerber and thus it was 1-2. Joel de Almeida blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Cláudio Gerber having to make a save. In the 92nd match minute, Awakening was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dagoberto Queiroz to maneuver through the defense. 93 minutes into the game, Acara's Umberto Falcão nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Cláudio Gerber made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. When the final whistle sounded Acara left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Awakening.
