The throw-in from Moisés Arósio in the 26th minute of the game was unfortunally taken care of by NOVORIZONTINO's Luís Fábio Hermes. Emílio Dionísio struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Dé Correia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for AlcatraZ FC. If João Augusto Dracena had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 32nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Michel Britto stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Edgar Prestes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dé Correia having to interfere. 85 minutes in the game Giuseppe Velasco got a great opportunity which he missed by shooting outside the goal. In the 92nd minute Michel Britto shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Egídio Mandrak saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 96 minutes into the game, Michel Britto cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Egídio Mandrak was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. NOVORIZONTINO's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
