Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Sport Recife's Flávio Paraense started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the match, Zé Carlos de Lima had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Doriva Paranaense. Sport Recife's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Zé Carlos de Lima was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Doriva Toledo lost his temper 7 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. After a rather tough play, Sport Recife's Doriva Toledo got a free kick in the 8th minute. Sport Recife's Doriva Paranaense played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Zé Carlos de Lima in the 11th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Sport Recife's goal looked a bit too open when Zé Carlos de Lima came free, but Doriva Paranaense reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Vicente Senna recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. José Paulo Gerber was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Eriberto Sergipano showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 22 minute of play. When Eriberto Sergipano fell near the penalty area in the 28th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sport Recife's protests and gave Eriberto Sergipano a yellow card for diving instead. Eriberto Sergipano hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. Lúcio Vides sent away a hard shot on goal in the 30th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Inhauma FC's José Paulo Gerber proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save Inhauma FC from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zé Carlos de Lima in the 41st minute of play forced Sport Recife's goalkeeper Doriva Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute, Amílton Gaspar ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Doriva Paranaense was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2.

The wind increased when Lúcio Vides made the kick off in the second half. Doriva Paranaense made a fantastic save in the 53rd minute, when Lúcio Vides sent off a good shot on target. After having played for 58 minutes, Zé Carlos de Lima managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Inhauma FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Zé Carlos de Lima was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Vicente Senna had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Doriva Paranaense managed to avoid a goal in the 64thth minute, when Inhauma FC's Lúcio Vides fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sidnei Galvão in the 66th minute of play forced Sport Recife's goalkeeper Doriva Paranaense to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Doriva Paranaense made an important save on a dangerous shot by Lúcio Vides in the 76th minute. Vicente Senna received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. José Paulo Gerber tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Sport Recife's Doriva Paranaense got control of the ball when Lúcio Vides tried to sneak it across the goal line. José Paulo Gerber showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Miguel Mendonça, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Sport Recife's defense didn't have a chance, in the 85th minute, when Lúcio Vides scored to the left of an out of position Doriva Paranaense, making the score, 1-3. Zé Carlos de Lima received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Doriva Paranaense came out and tried to block the shot, but Zé Carlos de Lima slotted it home off the left post making it 1-4 in the 90th minute. Inhauma FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
