The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The supporters of Goes SS booed when B1 Vegetal was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Enéas da Silva didn't get a good kick on the ball. The long shot by Artur Viana in the 22nd minute really tested César Silva's skills. César Silva made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Basílio Lucas in the 47th minute of play. The Goes SS players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. B1 Vegetal were winning 2-3.

The wind increased when Basílio Lucas made the kick off in the second half. After 52 minutes of play, Goes SS's Duarte Cavalcante made it 3-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. César Silva was left in no man's land by his defense there! With a couple of smart ball manuevers Fred Pontes in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg César Silva saved B1 Vegetal from getting behind. If Jorginho Rodrigues had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Pedro Paulo Bueno made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Serafim Motta in the 67th minute of play. César Silva showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Basílio Lucas in the 93rd minute of the match.
