In the last second Jeferson Santos throw himself and got hold of the ball when Caetano Toscano in the 32ndth minute from his position got away a shot towards the right post. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Wanderson Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dark Team's supporters rose to their feet, but Wanderson Araújo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jeferson Santos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Dark Team booed when Ibiatiara FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 40 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ernesto Netto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jeferson Santos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Caetano Toscano in the 40th minute of the match. Caetano Toscano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Jeferson Santos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Wanderson Araújo could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Jeferson Santos made a huge save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jonas Meira in the 47th minute of play forced Dark Team's goalkeeper Manuel Tande to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Ademar Pitta was the one to do the kick off.
