In the 9th play minute Horácio Domingues came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Sílvio Vasconcelos. 2-0. The referee showed Amauri Zonta the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 33rd match minute, Reinado AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amauri Zonta to maneuver through the defense. In the 34th minute, Horácio Domingues made a precise shot to the right of Sílvio Vasconcelos. Reinado AD's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 5-0. After 38 minutes, Andrézinho Meirelles mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Reinado AD and the E.C BAHIA players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of E.C BAHIA booed when Reinado AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Andrézinho Meirelles didn't get a good kick on the ball. Horácio Domingues came free with the goalkeeper in the 39th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Sílvio Vasconcelos could save by the left post. After a rather tough play, E.C BAHIA's Horácio Domingues got a free kick in the 51st minute. Rubens de Castro made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Sílvio Luís de Medeiros sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hortêncio Mendonça in the 54th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sílvio Vasconcelos saved Reinado AD from getting behind. After 55 minutes Reinado AD's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Hortêncio Mendonça who took care of the corner kick. E.C BAHIA's Hortêncio Mendonça was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Sílvio Vasconcelos in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Hortêncio Mendonça in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Sílvio Vasconcelos saved Reinado AD from getting behind. In the 59th match minute, E.C BAHIA was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Osmar Vides to maneuver through the defense. In the 64th minute, Hortêncio Mendonça got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Eliseu Abreu's late challenge caught a Reinado AD's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Eliseu Abreu helped the player get up and apologised. After 95 played minutes E.C BAHIA got a freekick which was hit by Eliseu Abreu. E.C BAHIA walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
