Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Geovani Bezerra got the match started through his kick off. Dráusio Neves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Dedê da Silveira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mazinho Camargo kicked well hit freekick during the 9th minute of the match. 12 minutes into the match, Itapema's goal looked a bit too open when Dudu Borges came free, but Augusto da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Itapema getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Charles Marquez hit a great ball. In the 25th minute, Umberto Perez made a precise shot to the right of Augusto da Cunha. Itapema's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. Augusto da Cunha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Umberto Perez in the 28th minute of play. 30 minutes had been played when some careless play by Itapema's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Elano Galvão was slow to take the kick. During this time Barriero EC's players had a chance to rest. Barriero EC's Elano Galvão was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Augusto da Cunha in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. 31 minutes into the match, Itapema's goal looked a bit too open when Rodriguinho de Godoi came free, but Augusto da Cunha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Augusto da Cunha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cláudio Eger, who was totally free with the ball in the 33rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dudu Borges in the 35th minute of play forced Itapema's goalkeeper Augusto da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 38th minute Dudu Borges shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Augusto da Cunha saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rodriguinho de Godoi hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Geovani Bezerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Umberto Perez was the one to do the kick off. If Dráusio Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Augusto da Cunha made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Rodriguinho de Godoi sent off a good shot on target. Falcão do Vale sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Geovani Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dedê da Silveira having to interfere. Dudu Borges could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Augusto da Cunha made a huge save. Augusto da Cunha was a little too slow when Cláudio Eger got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 62nd minute. The score was now 0-3. Augusto da Cunha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Cláudio Eger in the 70th minute of the match. Falcão do Vale kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 74th minute of the match, Rodriguinho de Godoi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Augusto da Cunha was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 81st minute, Cláudio Eger hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dedê da Silveira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geovani Bezerra, who was totally free with the ball in the 87th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Dudu Borges in the 88th minute of play forced Itapema's goalkeeper Augusto da Cunha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Itapema's Dráusio Neves got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Dedê da Silveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Dráusio Neves, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
