After a defensive mix-up in Varedao AD's zone, Rui Diniz stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Júlio Madureira came out of the goal and Rui Diniz tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Rui Diniz in the 22nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Júlio Madureira saved Varedao AD from getting behind. In the 24th match minute, Varedao AD was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Germano Trigo to maneuver through the defense. Enrique Vergílio's late challenge caught a A. Ferroviária E.'s player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Enrique Vergílio helped the player get up and apologised. A. Ferroviária E.'s Charles Vaz pulled a muscle in his leg after 42 minutes and couldn't finish the game. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Augusto Faria during the 42nd minute. Ferroviária E. booed when Varedao AD was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 92 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alberto Paranaense didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rui Diniz sent away a hard shot on goal in the 95th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rui Diniz did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 0-6 to the left of a surprised Júlio Madureira 97 minutes into the match. A. Ferroviária E. played a much better game than Varedao AD and deserved their victory. The Varedao AD players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
