Giuseppe Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Gino Salles in the 9th minute of play. When the match had gone on for 10 minutes, Rui Diniz took a quick shot and it went in 2-0 without a chance for Ernesto de Toledo to make any attempt to save it. A. Ferroviária E.'s Giuseppe Pena played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luiz Guilherme Vieira in the 18th minute of play. After having played for 23 minutes, Luiz Guilherme Vieira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Quadrada's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luiz Guilherme Vieira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Giuseppe Pena showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Gino Salles, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Rui Diniz might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Ernesto de Toledo. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rui Diniz ran back to his position shaking his head. Rui Dinizs short, quick shot in the 37thth minute got Ernesto de Toledo to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 39 minutes into the match, Ruy Porto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Giuseppe Pena. A. Ferroviária E.'s manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Ruy Porto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Diniz in the 43rd minute of play forced Quadrada's goalkeeper Ernesto de Toledo to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Luiz Guilherme Vieira hit a great freekick 46 minutes into the match.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Rui Diniz to strike the kick off in the second half. Ruy Porto was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 54 minutes into the match. In the 54th minute, Ruy Porto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Osmar Barbosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 55th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Beto Gomes struck a weak shot in the 57th minute. Ernesto de Toledo didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for A. Ferroviária E.. Christian de Sousa hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. Ernesto de Toledo stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Rui Diniz's shot from short distance in the 61st minute. Ernesto de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Diniz in the 63rd minute of play. When Luís Paulo Barreto fell near the penalty area in the 64th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored A. Ferroviária E.'s protests and gave Luís Paulo Barreto a yellow card for diving instead. After 64 played minutes A. Ferroviária E. got a freekick which was hit by Luís Paulo Barreto. Ernesto de Toledo made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Diniz in the 67th minute of play. Luís Paulo Barreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ernesto de Toledo having to interfere. After 75 minutes, Luiz Guilherme Vieira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Quadrada and the A. Ferroviária E. players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 75th match minute, Quadrada was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Luiz Guilherme Vieira to maneuver through the defense. 80 minutes into the game, Rui Diniz cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Ernesto de Toledo was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Rui Diniz in the 85th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ernesto de Toledo prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rui Diniz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Ernesto de Toledo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 90 minutes into the match, Quadrada's Luiz Guilherme Vieira sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Giuseppe Pena narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After a rather tough play, A. Ferroviária E.'s Luís Paulo Barreto got a free kick in the 92nd minute. If Luiz Guilherme Vieira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. A. Ferroviária E. had played much better football throughout.
