Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Giuseppe Veloso started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Giuseppe Pena made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilton Guerra in the 8th minute. 12 minutes into the match, A. Ferroviária E.'s goalkeeper Giuseppe Pena had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rony Baiano. Giuseppe Pena showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Giuseppe Veloso in the 15th minute of the match. In the 17th match minute, Guarapiranga was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jorge Botelho to maneuver through the defense. In the 18th minute, Osmar Barbosa sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Guarapiranga's Fabrício Queiroz didn't even have to move. Luís Paulo Barreto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Fabrício Queiroz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Décio Trevisan hit a great freekick 22 minutes into the match. Fabrício Queiroz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Osmar Barbosa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fabrício Queiroz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rui Diniz in the 29th minute of play. Ulisses Damião was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 32 minutes into the match. Osmar Barbosa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabrício Queiroz having to interfere. Jorge Botelho scored 1-0 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Giuseppe Pena, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After a defensive mix-up in Guarapiranga's zone, Beto Gomes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Fabrício Queiroz came out of the goal and Beto Gomes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Osmar Barbosa to make the kick off. In the 54th minute, Osmar Barbosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Giuseppe Pena made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rony Baiano in the 62nd minute of play. Luís Paulo Barreto kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. In the 68th minute, Beto Gomes fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Fabrício Queiroz, passed just outside the right post. Giuseppe Pena took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Giuseppe Veloso, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 73 minutes into the game, Rony Baiano cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Giuseppe Pena was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Osmar Barbosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 80th minute Osmar Barbosa shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabrício Queiroz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jorge Botelho kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Sandro Berger kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After some careless play in the A. Ferroviária E. defense, Rony Baiano kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Giuseppe Pena. The A. Ferroviária E. fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Giuseppe Pena should have stopped the shot. In the 89th minute, Rony Baiano ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Giuseppe Pena was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. 94 minutes into the game, Guarapiranga's Giuseppe Veloso nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Giuseppe Pena made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. The Guarapiranga players were eager to celebrate when the final whistle sounded. They had somehow managed to win, even though the away team had held the majority of the possession.
