Leandro Vasconcelos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 26th minute of the match, but Virgilio Argomedo made a huge save. The audience was convinced that Zé Augusto Meirelles's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Beto Andrade was relentless in the 29th minute of the game. If Horácio de Alcântara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zé Augusto Meirelles in the 33rd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Beto Andrade saved Poá F.C. from getting behind. Luís Eduardo Barreto fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Virgilio Argomedo having to interfere. Beto Andrade stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Zé Augusto Meirelles's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-3 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Zé Augusto Meirelles to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 56th minute the ball was on its way in behind Rondoniense SC's goalkeeper Virgilio Argomedo, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Rondoniense SC fans' excitement grew in the 70th match minute when Rondoniense SC's Zé Augusto Meirelles looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-6 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. 74 minutes into the match, Danilo Gerber dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Beto Andrade, 1-7. Rondoniense SC's Virgilio Argomedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Eduardo Barreto in the 81st minute of play. Virgilio Argomedo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from José Prestes, who was totally free with the ball in the 82nd minute. Nando Andrade sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 85 minutes into the match, Nando Andrade dribbled the ball past the defender and swiftly kicked the ball to the left of Beto Andrade, 1-8. The crowd rose to their feet as Rondoniense SC's Zé Augusto Meirelles slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Beto Andrade. That made the score 1-9 after 94 minutes of play. The Poá F.C. supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Rondoniense SC's performance. The match ended with a win for Rondoniense SC.
