The supporters of Poá F.C. booed when Gurjao was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 10 match minutes in a wonderful position. Válter Pereira didn't get a good kick on the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luís Eduardo Barreto in the 12th minute of play forced Gurjao's goalkeeper David Pitta to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Leandro Mota in the 14th minute of play forced Poá F.C.'s goalkeeper Beto Andrade to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Gurjao getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Antônio Carlos Marinho hit a great ball. In the 18th minute, Luís Eduardo Barreto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Poá F.C. fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. If Pedro Paulo Trevisan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 24th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th minute, one of Gurjao:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Gurjao. Gurjao's David Pitta played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dalmo Travassos in the 32nd minute of play. David Pitta made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Luís Eduardo Barreto in the 34th minute of play. David Pitta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Eduardo Barreto, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Gurjao's David Pitta proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 42nd minute of the match, managed to save Gurjao from getting a goal against them. David Pitta was out of position in the 44 minute of play, and Dalmo Travassos capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Dalmo Travassos really showed his touch with that goal: 4-0. 48 minutes into the match, Gurjao's goalkeeper David Pitta had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Leandro Vasconcelos. Af the end of the first half the score was 4-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Luís Eduardo Barreto made a kick off. The supporters of Gurjao booed when Poá F.C. was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Paulo Trevisan didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 54thth minute of the game Válter Pereira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Poá F.C.'s Beto Andrade was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 56th minute Leandro Vasconcelos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but David Pitta saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Gurjao's Válter Pereira got a free kick in the 57th minute. Luís Eduardo Barreto took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised David Pitta. David Pitta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-0. 65 minutes into the game, one of Poá F.C.:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. David Pitta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Pedro Paulo Trevisan hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. David Pitta stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Luís Eduardo Barreto's shot from short distance in the 98th minute. There was no doubt that Poá F.C. were the better team. Poá F.C.'s players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
