Amílton do Nascimento showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rodriguinho Varela in the 3rd minute of the match. Rodriguinho Varela took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Amílton do Nascimento. Amílton do Nascimento dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. The supporters of S.E Time do Ganso booed when Furia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 9 match minutes in a wonderful position. Claudinho das Neves didn't get a good kick on the ball. 11 minutes into the game, Claudinho das Neves was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Furia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.E Time do Ganso the free kick. 15 minutes into the match, Rodriguinho Varela had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Amílton do Nascimento. S.E Time do Ganso's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Rodriguinho Varela was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Amílton do Nascimento showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from David Souto, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Rodriguinho Varela kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, S.E Time do Ganso's José Maria Neto got a free kick in the 26th minute. After 27 minutes of play Furia's Claudinho das Neves was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Claudinho das Neves kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Oswaldo Leão made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jeremias Guerra in the 29th minute. Jeremias Guerra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 34th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The supporters of S.E Time do Ganso booed when Furia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 35 match minutes in a wonderful position. Hugo Dante didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 40th minute, David Souto managed to get in a good position for a shot. Furia's supporters rose to their feet, but David Souto was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amílton do Nascimento breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a little luck, Furia's Oswaldo Leão got control of the ball when Bernardo Britto tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in S.E Time do Ganso's zone, André Luiz Leal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Amílton do Nascimento came out of the goal and André Luiz Leal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 47 minutes into the game, David Souto was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Furia's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.E Time do Ganso the free kick. In the 48th minute, David Souto hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Jeremias Guerra made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, S.E Time do Ganso was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gilson Cunha to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Furia's André Luiz Leal got a free kick in the 57th minute. 61 minutes had been played when some careless play by S.E Time do Ganso's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Kiko Alvarenga was slow to take the kick. During this time Furia's players had a chance to rest. After taking down the ball on Furia's corner Kiko Alvarenga fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Amílton do Nascimento quite easily take care of the ball. If Kiko Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 65th minute, David Souto got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Oswaldo Leão stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Jeremias Guerra's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. If Kiko Alvarenga had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 76 minutes, David Souto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Furia's supporters crossed their fingers, but David Souto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 79 minutes into the game, S.E Time do Ganso's Jeremias Guerra nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Oswaldo Leão made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. Vitinho Amorim lost his temper 86 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. The referee gave S.E Time do Ganso a penalty, 89 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Bernardo Britto, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Furia's Oswaldo Leão. 2-2. Furia's Kiko Alvarenga got a good chance for a goal in the 95th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Furia were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
