In the 19th minute there was a penalty for Guiratinga. Jerônimo Fernandes stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Claudinei Prestes. 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Sanchalts F.C.'s zone, Jerônimo Fernandes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Claudinei Prestes came out of the goal and Jerônimo Fernandes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Magno Cabral received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Claudinei Prestes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, Guiratinga's Juvenal Valadares got control of the ball when Jefferson Duarte tried to sneak it across the goal line. Juvenal Valadares made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Jefferson Duarte sent off a good shot on target. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Juvenal Valadares showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Juvenal Valadares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Michel Reis in the 93rd minute of play. Magno Cabral struck a weak shot in the 96th minute. Claudinei Prestes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guiratinga. Guiratinga played a much better game than Sanchalts F.C. and deserved their victory. The Sanchalts F.C. players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
